Job Description
Imagine One is seeking a **Sr.** **Oracle Database Administrator** to assist in the performance, integrity, and security of databases including planning, development, and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will support activities required for the effective sustainment of a large family of DoD information systems used by the Navy's shore-based maintenance community. The position is in Norfolk, Virginia.
**General position responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:**
+ Support Oracle databases in development and production data centers.
+ Establish the needs of users and monitor user access and security.
+ Monitor performance and manage parameters to provide fast query responses to front-end users.
+ Install and test new versions of the database management system and support security patching as required.
+ Assist in writing database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary.
+ Control database access, permissions, and privileges.
+ Develop, manage, and test backup and recovery plans.
**Experience Requirements:**
+ Database administrator expertise in one or more of the following: Oracle 19 or higher, RMAN, Active DataGuard, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), Oracle Security Patching, Unified Auditing and Audit Vault.
+ Experience with AWS DB Cloud is preferred.
+ Experience with PostgreSQL is preferred.
+ Familiarity with DoD Information Assurance (IA) requirements and practices.
+ Familiarity with the Dept. of Navy Cyber Risk Management Framework (RMF) Process.
**Educational Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University and 5+ years of experience providing database and administration support or master's degree and 3+ years of said experience.
+ Actual job experience will be considered in place of work duration requirements.
+ Relevant Oracle Certification: Oracle Certified Associate (OCA); Oracle Certified Professional (OCP); Oracle Certified Manager (OCM)
+ Must meet Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification criteria specified in DoD 8570-01M.
**Security Requirements:**
+ U.S. Citizenship required.
+ Candidate must have a favorably adjudicated SSBI or SSBI-PR updated within the past 5 years with eligibility for a top-secret DoD security clearance
