Job Description

**Summary** The **Armed Security Guard** personnel will be responsible for providing security services at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers location. **Responsibilities** + Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders. + Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel. + Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions. + Will follow applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment. + Will conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection. + Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays. + Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED. + Armed Security Guard certification through DCJS. + Active Secret clearance. + Must be at least 21 years of age. + Certified in use of Oleoresin Capsicum (OC) Spray. + Certified in use of Batons. + Minimum of one year experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization. + Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross. + Successfully be able to meet PAT physical agility standards as set forth by customer. + 1.5 mile run in 17:30 minutes + 19 push-ups in 2 minutes + MMPI test _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. + Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
