Summary

💼 Part-Time (with full-day hours on school breaks and holidays)

Hours:

• 🏫 During the school year: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM
• 🎒 School holidays & break days: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

We’re licensed and guided by Georgia’s DECAL (Department of Early Care and Learning) and follow Bright from the Start (BFTS) standards to ensure a safe, fun, and nurturing environment.
Now, we’re looking for a School-Age Staff Member who brings energy, creativity, and a heart for kids to our before and after-school program.

Duties

What You’ll Do

• Welcome and supervise children ages 5–12 in before/after-school program during school break & holidays.
• Lead fun activities—arts and crafts, games, learning stations, and outdoor play.
• Support students with homework and encourage good habits and positive choices.
• Help with snack time, cleanup, and classroom transitions.
• Keep children safe and engaged while following all DECAL and BFTS rules.
• Communicate kindly and clearly with parents and fellow staff.
• Bring joy and patience to every day (we’re big on both)!

Requirements

What You Need

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience working with children (camp, classroom, church group, babysitting—all great!).
• Willingness to complete CPR/First Aid and DECAL-required training (we’ll help).
• Clear background check and fingerprinting (required by DECAL).
• Team spirit, reliability, and a playful, positive attitude!

Nice To Haves

• Experience with school-age programs, behavior guidance, or enrichment activities
• A knack for storytelling, coaching, crafting, dancing, or building with LEGOs, and STEM
• A heart for ministry and a desire to be a role model for young minds
• Associate's degree in child development or certificate from accredited afterschool program
